The RX02 is a single-sided double-density 8-inch dual floppy disk drive. It is a quite perverted beast, as its low level format is same as the IBM standard format in regard of the number of tracks and sectors and the sector headers, but in DD mode the data in each sector is recorded in a higher data density increasing the sector size from 128 bytes to 256 bytes. It connects through a ribbon cable to a RX211, which is a quad height SPC Unibus module (M8256).
